The Brass Knob sits on Don Juico Avenue — Perimeter Road, the long strip along the Clark fence where the older, cheaper, quieter half of Angeles City nightlife lives — at the 21st Street corner. It's a small family-run hotel with a street-side cafe out front and a sports bar with pool tables inside, and it has been there in one form or another since 1990, which in Angeles years is practically heritage.
The food is unpretentious Western comfort: a full breakfast (breakfast burritos and eggs Benedict get the mentions), burgers, pizza and Italian-ish plates, and pub grub to go with the beer while the sport is on. Nothing here is fine dining, and past reviewers have been split — some love the value and the welcome, others found plates ordinary. It's a place you go for a cheap, easy feed and a chat with the barman, not a culinary pilgrimage.
The cafe tables on the pavement are the draw for me. Perimeter Road doesn't do the Walking Street parade; it does trikes, regulars, hotel guests padding out for coffee, and the sun going down over the fence. It pairs naturally with the beer bars along this stretch and with the Clarkton and Wild Orchid crowd nearby.
A word of caution, as of August 2026: the Brass Knob's online trail is quieter than most, with a “New Brass Knob” Facebook presence and few recent reviews, so I haven't been able to confirm hours or that everything's running as before. Ring or check the Maps link before you plan a breakfast around it.
