Emotions Bar sits at 464 Don Juico Avenue — Perimeter Road to everyone in Angeles, the long stretch that runs along the Clark fence — and it's a good example of what Perimeter does better than Walking Street: a cheap, unhurried bar where you can hear yourself think. Don't be misled by the name or by the lists that file it under "nightlife". Emotions is a bar and grill with a pool table, not a club with a light show.
The room is modest: an open front onto Perimeter Road, a bar with stools, a handful of tables, a big screen or two, and the pool table that regulars rate as one of the better-kept on the road. Waitresses look after you — friendly, unhurried, and happy to leave you alone with your beer if that's what you want — and there's free Wi-Fi that actually works, which is why you'll see the odd expat doing his emails with a San Mig at three in the afternoon. There's a short grill menu of burgers, sandwiches and Filipino plates for the peckish, and reviews are consistent on the two things that matter here: the beer is properly cold and the staff are nice.
Hours are the thing to know. Emotions is a day-and-evening bar — listings put it at roughly 13:00 to late evening — so it's an afternoon stop, a place to start the night before you trike down to Fields Avenue, or a quiet spot to nurse yesterday's mistakes. Beer is Perimeter-cheap: expect around ₱90–120 for a local bottle (Aug 2026), with ladies' drinks well below Walking Street levels if you buy the girl serving you one. No cover, no dress code, no dancers.
The crowd is older and mostly expat — retirees who live along Perimeter and Malabañas, long-stay visitors from the nearby hotels, and a few Clark workers on their way home. It's the sort of bar where the man on the next stool has been in Angeles since the base closed and will tell you about it if you let him.
Stable tip: Perimeter Road is a five-minute trike from Walking Street and a different world price-wise. Emotions is a good first stop on a Perimeter afternoon; the Perimeter Road area guide has the rest of the crawl.
