Prime Asia Hotel opened in October 2013 on Narciso Avenue in Malabañas — the residential-ish grid between Fields Avenue and Perimeter Road, about fifteen minutes' walk from the Walking Street arch or a short trike. It's Filipino-owned, pitched at families, couples and business travellers heading to Clark and SM City Clark, and it's the sort of place your Manila-based mates might book without a second thought.
The rooftop is the selling point: a heated infinity pool on the sixth floor with a bar and, at weekends, a live band or karaoke that runs until about eleven. Reviewers who love it call the pool world class; reviewers who booked a sixth-floor room and wanted an early night are less enthusiastic. Take the hint and ask for a lower floor. Below that there's a small spa that gets warm reviews, a gym, and a restaurant-bar doing decent Filipino and international food. It's also pet-friendly, if that's your thing.
Rooms are modern, clean and business-standard — good beds, proper desks, reliable Wi-Fi — and the hotel scores well on cleanliness and value across a couple of thousand reviews. Rates on the booking sites start around ₱2,600–3,000 in low season (Aug 2026), breakfast usually included.
Guest policy is where the nightlife visitor should tread carefully. Prime Asia doesn't market itself as guest-friendly, and reviews are mixed: some visitors report no problem registering a guest with ID, others describe "mixed messages" from the desk that left them feeling unwelcome. Nothing I've seen suggests a hard no, but nothing suggests the relaxed shrug you'd get at Score Birds either. Ask before you book, and don't assume.
Noise is generally low apart from the rooftop entertainment. Who it suits: the visitor who wants a smart, family-safe hotel with a great pool and doesn't need to be on the strip — the over-50 traveller with a Filipina partner, the bloke on a Clark business trip, or anyone doing daytime things (Pinatubo, golf, SM Clark) with the bars as an occasional evening.
