Hollywood Bar is a small go-go bar down at the McDonald's end of Fields Avenue, opposite the Walkabout Hotel and right next to Texas Bar. The old directories describe it as a "small naughty bar" that people bar-hopping the avenue tend to miss, and having walked past it more times than I've walked in, I can confirm the second half of that at least.
Here's what the record says. Hours were five in the afternoon to two in the morning, give or take, which is early-opening by Fields Avenue standards and useful if you're staying nearby and want a first drink before the strip wakes up. The reviews of the day — and I mean the day: these are a decade old — praised a good mix of girls for a room this size, staff who were "over-friendly and very playful", and a bar that "can really go off" late on when it fills. Local drinks were under ₱100 back then and a ladies' drink around ₱150. Take those numbers as history, not a menu; a small room like this in August 2026 will most likely be charging in the ₱130–170 range for a San Mig Light and ₱250–350 for a ladies' drink, like its neighbours, and you should ask before you order.
The format is the classic Fields Avenue shoebox: a short stage, seating for a couple of dozen, a handful of dancers on rotation, greeters out front. What makes or breaks these rooms is the mood of the staff on the night, and Hollywood's historical reputation on that front was good.
The caveat: as of August 2026 I have not been able to confirm from two independent sources that Hollywood is trading under this name. It's a long-standing name — in the listings since at least the mid-2010s — but small bars at this end of the avenue swap signs more often than the big rooms, and one directory page that used to list it has gone dark. Treat this as a marker on the map and check on the night.
Harry says: the little bars at this end are where I send people who find Walking Street a bit much. Sit down, one beer, see if the room smiles back. If it does, stay for another; if it doesn't, Texas is next door and the strip is a five-minute stroll.
