Centauro is the go-go bar that used to be Carousel, and if you remember the old name you remember why: the stage actually rotates. When it reopened as Centauro in late 2013 the fit-out kept the party trick — the listings still call it the only real, revolving carousel stage in the city — and for a while it was one of the more distinctive rooms on the strip, tucked in the same stretch as Q Bar and Club Atlantis near the top of Walking Street.
Now the honest bit. As of August 2026 I couldn’t confirm from two current sources that it’s open under this name. The bistro that shared the address has been Carousel Bistro, Centauro Bistro and, on the last TripAdvisor listing I saw, Fields Bistro — which tells you the building has been through changes. So this page is marked unverified: look for the sign, and if it’s a go-go bar with a stage that goes round, you’ve found it, whatever it’s called this year.
What it was like: a mid-sized room with the carousel stage as the centrepiece, seating around it so every stool got a turn at the front, a decent line-up of dancers, and the usual Walking Street rules — no cover, your beer, her ladies’ drink if you want company, a tip for whoever looked after you. Prices sat mid-strip, and hours were the standard evening-to-03:00.
Stable tip: rooms with a gimmick live or die on the crowd. A rotating stage with thirty people around it is a laugh; the same stage with three is a slow merry-go-round. Go after ten.
Harry remembers Carousel from the days when a moving stage was a talking point on the whole avenue, and Centauro from the years after when the name changed but the stage didn’t. Angeles has never been sentimental about signage; if this one has changed again, the go-go guide on this site still tells you exactly how the room works. And if you find it open and spinning, drop me a line so I can promote it back to verified.
