Widus Hotel Clark is where the whole Hann Casino Resort story started: for years it was "Widus Hotel & Casino", the first serious casino hotel on Manuel A. Roxas Highway inside the Freeport, and when the owners went big and built the Marriott and the Swissôtel around it, the Widus stayed on as the resort's original — and cheapest — hotel. It's a four-star with 237 rooms, and it's the one I'd book if I wanted a Hann night without a Hann bill.
The pool is the highlight: a big, free-form, uniquely shaped thing with a swim-up bar, sun loungers and enough space that it never feels crowded even on a Korean-holiday weekend. There's a full-service spa, a gym, all-day dining doing local and international food, and a buffet breakfast that reviewers rate but that costs around ₱1,300 a head if it's not in your rate — check. The casino floor, with its 800-odd slots and 90-plus tables, is a lift ride away, and the resort's fifteen restaurants and bars are an indoor walk.
Rooms are spacious, spotless and comfortable rather than glamorous — this is the older building — with good beds, big bathrooms and reliable Wi-Fi. Reviewers give it around 8.2 out of 10, praising value, cleanliness and warm, efficient staff. Rates start around ₱4,500 a night in low season (Aug 2026), well under the Marriott and Swissôtel next door.
The nightlife caveats: Fields Avenue is a 15-minute drive (₱250–400 by Grab, Aug 2026) and it's a registered-guest hotel — everyone in the room on the booking, ID at the desk, and extra-person charges likely. Older forum lore had the Widus as fairly relaxed about a registered visitor; I couldn't confirm the 2026 position, so ask.
Who it suits: the casino visitor who wants the Hann floor without five-star prices, couples, and airport-adjacent stopovers. Noise: none.
