Salambo is one of the mid-sized go-go rooms on Walking Street that I’ve walked past more often than I’ve sat in — and, as of August 2026, one I can’t confirm is still trading under that name from two current sources. Angeles being Angeles, that could mean it’s closed, it’s been renamed, or it’s simply too small to leave much of a footprint online. The photo on this page shows the frontage as it was; if you see it lit up, go and have a look and let the Horse know.
Because I don’t want to invent details, here’s what a room of this size on this strip is like in general, and it will hold for Salambo if it’s open. Expect a single main room with a stage — central or along one wall — a ring of stools, some counter and lounge seating further back, and a line-up of dancers working in rotation. Greeters outside will wave you in; a mamasan inside will introduce you to a girl if you ask. You buy your own beer, you buy her a ladies’ drink if you want company at your table, and you tip whoever looked after you at the end. There’s typically no cover charge on Walking Street, and mid-sized rooms usually undercut Dollhouse by a fair margin: local beer around ₱120–160 and ladies’ drinks from roughly ₱300 as of August 2026.
Stable tip: you can read a small bar from the doorway. Count the stools taken versus the girls on the floor, listen to whether the music is at conversation level or club level, and see whether the greeters are chatty or pushy. Thirty seconds at the door tells you more than any website — this one included.
Harry remembers Salambo as one of the rooms in the middle of the strip that you drifted into on a bar crawl, had a pleasant hour, and forgot the name of by breakfast. That’s not a criticism; half the fun of Walking Street is the rooms you didn’t plan on. If it’s open, treat it as one of those. If it isn’t, the neighbours will happily take the trade.
